1 Prepositions for, to with indirect object

2 Indirect object
↑ Object.1) Некоторые глаголы принимают два дополнения, то есть после них в предложении может стоять две именные группы без предлогов или местоимения в объектном падеже. В таких случаях первое из дополнений считается непрямым, а второе - прямым (Direct object). Например, глагол send в предложении "Please send him my best regards" ( "Пожалуйста, передай ему мои наилучшие пожелания") имеет прямое дополнение my best regards и непрямое дополнение him.2) Непрямое дополнение обычно обозначает не то лицо или объект, который непосредственно подвергается действию, а "адресата" действия, то есть того, кому предназначено действие или на кого оно направлено.3) Непрямое дополнение может заменяться на предложную группу с предлогами to или for, стоящую после прямого дополнения. 3 give me this / give this to me
Конструкция "Глагол + Непрямое дополнение" или "Глагол + to/for + Существительное".Обычно непрямое дополнение при глаголе возможно заменить на предложную группу, состоящую из существительного и предлога to/for (предложная группа ставится, в отличие от непрямого дополнения, после прямого дополнения). То есть, например, предложение "Please show him the book" можно заменить предложением "Please show the book to him" (см. также Indirect object, 3). Однако, этому правилу подчиняются не все глаголы.1) При некоторых глаголах, принимающих два дополнения, невозможно перенесение непрямого дополнения в конец с предлогами to и for. When used as a direct object pronoun, her is translated by la (l’ before a vowel).
